Governance
Our Governance, comprising of the following organs, provide comprehensive framework to enhance accountability and ensure high standards of business ethics and integrity. It is specifically designed to enable the Association achieve its objectives.
EXECUTIVE BOARD
This is the highest decision-making organ and is responsible for providing leadership, either directly or through the advisory committees to the Association. It establishes corporate policies, sets strategic direction, ensures that an effective internal control environment is in place and oversees the secretariat which is responsible for the day to day operations of the Association.
ADVISORY COMMITTEES.
Assist the Executive Board in focusing on specific areas of interest. The committee fulfil their roles and responsibilities as delegated by the Executive Board and report on decisions and actions taken, monitor the Associations performance and make any necessary recommendations.
The committees are :
a. Illegal Gambling Advisory Committee: Advises the Executive Board on the best way to address the rampant illegal gambling taking place across Africa.
b. Responsible Gambling Advisory Committee: Advises the Executive Board on responsible gambling principles and standards that will protect consumers and ensure that gambling operators, software suppliers, and service providers behave responsibly.
c. Testing and Certification Advisory Committee: Advices the Executive Board on testing and certification standards to guarantee fair gaming, player protection and regulatory compliance
d. Training and Research Advisory Committee: Advices the Executive Board on the training of operators on problem gambling, responsible marketing and compliance to strengthen player protection standards and protect consumers from gambling related harm.
SECRETARIAT.
Has delegated authority form the Executive Board to conduct and perform the day to day management functions of the Association.
